Synactis PIC-2-PDF is a desktop utility for converting images to PDF documents or make e-books containing picture galleries. ENVIRONMENT - Supports all Win32 platforms (Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003). - Does not need Adobe Acrobat software. However, if Adobe Reader is present, PIC-2- PDF can automatically display generated PDF documents. - A custom command can be integrated to the context menu of Windows File Explorer. SUPPORTED IMAGE FORMATS - Supports all popular image file formats: JPEG, TIFF, GIF, BMP, WMF, EMF, PCX, PNG, TGA, PCD, ICO, CUR, PXM, JP2, J2K, PSD, PSP, PDD, PCC, FAX, BW, RGB, RGBA, SGI, PPM, PGM, PBM, CUT, PAL, RLA, RPF, RLE, DIB, etc. - Supports video file formats: AVI, MPEG, WMV. - For multi-image files (TIFF, GIF and video), you can either extract all images, or a given image, or a specified number of images, or samples extracted at a given frequency PIC SELECTION - Can select an unlimited number of pics prior to conversion process. - Can globally select directories. - Image files can be dragged from Windows Explorer. - Can command direct image acquisition by a scanner. - Can sort pic list by file names, file sizes or file dates. PDF DOCUMENT GENERATION - Automatic image compression. - Customizable document Author. - PDF documents can be protected by a owner password and a user password, with 40 bit encryption - Optionally, source pics can be deleted after conversion. INDIVIDUAL PIC CONVERSION - In Individual conversion mode, converts each selected image to an individual PDF document. - Supports batch processing to convert a large number of pics. - Specify pic resolution to set PDF document dimensions. E-BOOK GENERATION - In Book conversion mode, combines all selected pics into a single PDF document. - Define book paper size, orientation and margins. - Set the number of pics per page: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24. - Can include image names and/or dates, with customizable fonts: - Set document title, subject and author. - A bookmark is generated for each pic.
